What you can expect in a session
This practice was born out of a desire to work with the whole body looking at our web of wellness. When we work together on nutrition there are mental health components that inevitably come up (body image, fears, self-worth, etc) also with mental health therapy there can be a lot of relief when lifestyle is addressed. What this might look like would be balancing your blood sugar and feeling less anxiety. Eating food to support your GUT BIOME and decreasing symtoms of anxiety and depression.
Integrative therapy is exactly this, the weaving together the all the parts of the web of wellness. This is patient centered therapy tailored to the individual and their current needs.
In practice, Abby works with people on body image, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and disordered eating. She also works with those adjusting to change and dealing with grief and loss.
The web of wellness includes; sleep, nutrition, physical activity, community, and purpose. You will be able to look at all these areas without judgement in a safe space where you can bring your curiosity to exploring yourself with compassion. Only when we understand and accept ourselves is there room for change.
Currently only offering telehealth. In-person home visits when helpful and walking visits possible.
Hi I am Abby Pattison my heart work is helping people find their own way in health and wellness. What started out as a personal quest to take my health into my own hands, led me to getting my masters in nutrition and psychology. I have been working in the field for almost 20 years and have created a holistic quilt of tools that I use with my patients. I believe in patient centered care and will follow you on what your priorities, needs and abilities are.
Abby Pattison MS RD MHCA
When I am not working I am spending time in the evergreen state in the mountains or ocean with my kids, partner or dog-sometimes all of the above.
“Abby showed me my food rules were part of the problem. The more I accepted myself as I was the less I had trouble with binging. My body changed into what I wanted from a place of appreciation. Not forcing it to be what I thought I wanted it to be.”
